Endoscopy Centres

Connect consultation, procedure rooms, recovery and endoscope reprocessing.

Start from the service your team needs to deliver.

Endoscopy services connect patient assessment, examination, procedure support, recovery and the reprocessing of reusable endoscopes. The service plan should address the endoscopy programme and the staff, rooms and equipment needed to sustain it.

We coordinate layout, equipment and implementation around those relationships. The supplied Zhongjiang centre study allows a project team to explore procedure rooms and reprocessing spaces together, rather than considering the endoscope tower alone.

Plan the spaces as one working system.

01

Consultation, preparation and recovery

Coordinate assessment, changing, procedure preparation, monitoring and recovery with the intended clinical service.

02

Procedure rooms

Arrange examination couches, imaging displays, accessories, clinical staff access and the support required for the planned procedures.

03

Reprocessing and storage

Plan the route from used endoscopes through the appropriate cleaning and reprocessing steps to protected storage and return to use.

Engineering and room interfaces

  • Water, drainage and equipment servicing
  • Electrical, gas and monitoring interfaces where required
  • Used/clean equipment movement and ventilation coordination

Equipment around the clinical brief

  • Endoscopy imaging systems and compatible endoscopes
  • Procedure, monitoring and recovery equipment
  • Endoscope cleaning, reprocessing and storage systems

How the project moves forward

01

Site information

Review the supplied plan, existing services, utilities and project brief.

02

Coordinated design

Resolve specialist engineering and equipment interfaces with the project team.

03

Budget and phases

Align investment priorities, equipment choices and the implementation sequence.

04

Equipment installation

Connect supplier delivery with room readiness and installation responsibilities.

05

Training and continued support

Prepare local teams and plan maintenance, supplies and future development.

Prepare a first discussion

Bring the information you already have.

  • Planned procedures, session workload and team
  • Current endoscopes, accessories and reprocessing method
  • Layout and available clinical/technical support

A connected clinical and reprocessing layout, equipment configuration and implementation plan matched to the centre’s intended service.

Project questions

Can reprocessing be added after choosing the endoscopy system?

It should be planned alongside the system. Device compatibility, workload, staffing, utilities and the clean/used pathway influence the layout and operating requirements.
